Freelance Requests

Overview

First, thank you for sharing your stories on PNN.  We all have stories to share and our stories are important.  By writing on PNN you'll be joining a growing community of writers / bloggers from all around the globe, talking on all sorts of topics.

If you find yourself posting frequently you might want to apply to be a contributing, featured or freelance journalist.

No matter how you contribute you are helping us to grow into one of the Web's leading sites for intelligent entertainment for women.  And, no matter what your experience level is we will give you simple tools that will allow you to express yourself in a way that is way beyond the restrictions of existing blogging platforms.

Our readers come to PNN for quality content from authors that they trust, respect and that are approachable.  Readers come to see the personal side of stories, and they also come to share their own stories.

Contributing Authors -Ad Network

The requirements to be a contributing author in our ad network are that you have written for at least 30 days, and you have over 3,000 page views a month.  Once accepted, we'll put some code on your page that will display an additional ad, and we'll share the revenues with you.  As of July 2008 we're paying $5/1000 views.  As we grow we hope to improve on that.

Featured Authors

PNN is also looking for 'Featured' or categoy authors.  These authors post five times a week on particular subjects, are highlighted on category pages and receive a monthly minimum stipend in addition to sharing in sponsored ad revenues.  To be a Featured author you should love to write on a regular basis, and be passionate about it.

It helps to write about current topics, but that's not a requirement, your approach should be personal, and you should post photos when it makes sense.

Requirements for Featured Authors:

1.  You've posted for at least 30 days if you haven't had prior experience.  If you have experience that you feel qualifies you, please set up a site to make sure it works for you then send us your resume.

2.  You should have page views in excess of 5,000 per  month, but again, we'll help you get there.

3.  You are writing in one of our specific category channels.  

If you already have a blog somewhere outside PNN you may be able to be accepted without the prerequisites.

Freelance

Periodically we also post a list of sought after articles.  If you feel you can write about that topic, just contact us.  Freelance authors are paid per article and generally contribute on a periodic base.
